WESTERN CAPE DAMS LEVELS  DROP EVEN MORE.



The latest average level for dams across the western cape is 20,83% compared to 30,09% for the same time last year ,MEC for local government  ,Environment Affairs and development Planning Anton Bredell said on Monday.



"At this stage , the water situation in our  30 municipalities is stable , thanks to continued interventions as well as a concerted effort to save water by citizens and business".
In Cape Town , the maximum limit for personal consumption is 50 litres per person per day in line with level 6B water restrictions introduced on February 1.


if the city's overall consumption is not reduced to at least 450ml per day and
dam levels reach 13,5% a plan called Day Zero will kick in .in terms of this plan , people will have  to queue for a ration of 25 litres of water per day ,to be fetched at points of distribution.

    So life is very difficult in Western Cape, but at least people must try to go with this solution because there is no other way.

MARYLAND  SCHOOL OFFICER STOPS ARMED STUDENT WHO SHOT 2 OTHERS. A 17- year- old  male student shot two other students at Great Mill High School in Maryland on Tuesday morning before a school resource officer engaged him and stopped the threat ;according to St. Mary's Country Sheriff Tim Cameron. VAT INCREASED FROM 14% TO 15%. There is a massive gap in the country's finances, to put it bluntly. South Africa has an R48  billion hole in the fiscus that needs to be filled , and part of finance minister  Malusi Gigaba's solution in last week 's 2018 budget was to push up value-added tax (VAT)  by 1 percent point, as of 1 April 2018.This is the first increase in VAT in 25 years . Joubert emphasized that  not everything you spend on will be affected essential items and services such as zero -rated foods,rent and accommodation, interest on loans and school fees are all exempt. Vat will mostly effect  negatively poor  because they will have to pay more of which they receive low incomes but as for rich people wiill not  even realise the increase of vat but poorer will face consequently of Vat.Then what does this increment mean to the taxpayers.
